Declaration of Interest
Councillor M Hodge – 17/3605W

Public Forum
3 members present.
A member of the public commented that at the last meeting one Councillor had refused to split his time to speak at the Strategic Planning Board, in relation to 17/3605W. He thought this was not acting in the correct manner and if it benefited the community it was wrong to refuse.

Part 1
Present Councillor R Hurst (who chaired the meeting), Councillor M Cohen, Councillor J Swithenbank, Councillor M Hodge, Councillor R Hocknell and the Clerk.

Apologies – Councillor A Townson due to a funeral and Councillor G Morgan due to visiting family.

133/17 Planning Applications

  • 17/3605W Land at Rudheath Lodge, New Platt Lane, Cranage and Allostock CW4 8HJ – Silica sand extraction and associated development, mineral extraction by dredging progressive restoration, mineral processing and dispatch.

The above application was due to heard at the Strategic Planning Board on 20th December and the Chairman had called an extraordinary meeting to agree speaker.

Cllr R Hocknell proposed Cllr M Cohen; Seconded by Cllr J Swithenbank

Cllr R Hurst proposed Cllr A Townson; There was no seconder.

Resolved Cllr M Cohen would be speak at the Strategic Planning Board on the planning application 17/3605W.

The Clerk left the meeting at 10.20am

 

PART 2

Resolved; “That in accordance with the public bodies (Admission to meetings ) Act 1960 as extended by the Local Goverment Act 1972 section 100 the press and public be excluded from the meeting for discussion of the under mentioned item on the grounds that the publication of the matter would be prejudicial to the public interest by reason of the confidential nature of the business to be transacted

 

The Chairman updated the Council on the Clerks appraisal.

Resolved the Clerks working from home payments would increase with effect from 1st September 2017.

Resolved Cranage Parish Council would jointly purchase a computer for the Clerk with the other three Parish Councils she is employed by to work.

 

134/17 The next Parish Council Parish Meeting would be on the 28th November 2017 @ 7.30pm in Cranage Village Hall.
