VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – KEEP CRANAGE TIDY
In the run up to The Queen’s birthday on 21st April 2016, Keep Britain Tidy is running a campaign called “Clean for the Queen”. They aim to inspire a million people to take action and enjoy a few hours together litter-picking to make the places where we live more beautiful.
Cranage Parish Council is looking for volunteers of all ages to help tidy up our local area in a litter pick that will take place on Sunday the 13th March at 10:00.
Cheshire East Council has supplied us with a number of litter picking kits to help our efforts that comprise of:
- Litter pickers
- Bag hoops
- Hi-visibility vests
- Disposable gloves
- Refuse sacks
We hope we’ve got enough to go around but please feel free to bring your own litter pickers, bags and gloves if you have them.
If we can get enough people together we are hoping to target 6 main areas of Cranage which are:
- Needham Drive Estate and football pitches
- Byley Lane
- Knutsford Road
- Twemlow Lane
- Middlewich Road and Kings Lane
- Goostrey Lane
We would like everyone to meet up initially at the Cranage Parish Council Notice Board which is located at the junction of Needham Drive and Lawrence Close and we can then equip people and send them out to the various locations.
Let’s hope for a big turnout that will make Cranage sparkle!!!
